Having already signed Bruno Fernandes in January, the Red Devils are keen to further strengthen their midfield in the summer. Jack Grealish and James Maddison have already been linked with a move to Old Trafford.
It now appears that Solksjaer also has his sights set on Spurs midfielder Harry Winks.
The 24-year-old central midfielder came through the youth ranks at Tottenham. He has grown into an important player for Spurs under Mauricio Pochettino since making his debut in 2016.
Also capable of playing as a defensive midfielder, Winks has made 128 appearances for the Londoners. He has played 28 times for Spurs this season with just four of them coming off the bench. (h/t Whoscored)
United are keen on offloading Paul Pogba in the summer. The French superstar’s departure will free up funds for Solksjaer to revamp his midfield. Fred and Andreas Pereira have failed to impress while United have sorely missed the energy and drive of the injured Scott McTominay.
The Norwegian is keen on signing young British talent with potential. Winks certainly fits the criteria.
