Tottenham Hotspur squad report for training as usual amidst coronavirus scare

The Premier League has decided to suspend all football matches until April following the coronavirus outbreak that is spreading across the world. It has however not stopped  Tottenham Hotspur from going about first-team training as usual.

Jose Mourinho led his side out to train as they prepared for what was to be a crucial match against Manchester United in the race for top four. Alasdair Gold, a journalist for Football.London has confirmed on Twitter that the session had gone ahead. The club now face a decision on how to operate over the coming weeks.

The decision to suspend football matches for a month was taken after a number of clubs were impacted by the virus. Brendan Rodgers confirmed that a number of his players showed symptoms while Everton confirmed that their players and staff will be self-isolating.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta and Chelsea prospect Callum Hudson-Odoi were both diagnosed with the virus and have also been placed under isolation.

Tottenham also welcomed back Moussa Sissoko to first-team training. The delay could prove beneficial for us as it will give Ben Davies and Harry Kane the time to return to the first-team action.

We are seven points behind Chelsea in fourth. The return of some of our star players will benefit us in the final run-up for the Champions League spots.
