Tottenham offered chance to sign Luka Jovic from Real Madrid
According to a report by Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur could sign out-of-favour Real Madrid man Luka Jovic in the summer transfer window as they’ve been offered the player. The report adds that Chelsea are also keen on his services.
Despite signing the Serbian from Eintracht Frankfurt only last summer, Los Blancos are ready to let him leave after his lacklustre spell at Santiago Bernabeu this term.
It goes without saying that Tottenham need a new striker. We are overly-reliant on Harry Kane and as a result, our performances took a severe dip once he got sidelined due to an injury earlier this season.
Although footballing action is halted for the time being, Tottenham must prioritize signing a new striker once the transfer window commences.
And to that end, Jovic would be a viable option – provided boss Jose Mourinho is confident about extracting his best. After all, the Serbian hasn’t been firing on all cylinders in the La Liga and it might take additional effort and patience for him to return to his best.
Daily Star further adds that Real Madrid chiefs were furious after Jovic did not follow self-isolation rules adequately enough.

Tottenham need a new striker at the earliest. More than anything else, Jovic is young enough to be a solid back-up for Kane. And in the meantime, perhaps it would give him the space needed to regain his scoring touch as well.
