A look at Tottenham’s training regimen amidst coronavirus lockdown

Tottenham Hotspur are the only London team in training

The coronavirus pandemic has led to football being suspended across Europe for the foreseeable future. With social distancing the need of the hour, clubs have also cancelled training.

According to Football.london, the players are currently all in self-isolation and will not return to Hotspur Way until next month. Given their continued absence, the squad has been provided with individual regimens to help maintain their fitness levels.

A number of players have been working out indoors in their personal gyms while others have taken to working outside or improvising with that they have. Being cooped up at home, some of the players have taken to involving children and family in their sessions.

Few of our stars have taken to social media to keep the fans abreast of their activities.

The Premier League is set to resume on May 2nd at the earliest. Given the lack of match fitness, players will need to follow their m regimens to the tee in order to ensure they are well prepared for the rigors when the season resumes.

It is a possibility that the players will need to go through a pre-season of sorts before taking to the pitch. The chances of that happening are high given the effect a prolonged break had on both us and Liverpool players prior to last season’s Champions League final.

Harry Kane
Kane’s return could be the catalyst for Tottenham

The unforeseen break could also work in our favour given our injury list. Harry Kane and Moussa Sissoko are closing in on a return while Steven Bergwijn has also posted positive updates. Ben Davies will also be available with Heung-Min Son the only star sidelined.
