Star striker Harry Kane nears Tottenham Hotspur return
Harry Kane is the face of Tottenham Hotspur. Having come through the youth ranks, he has solidified his position as one of the best strikers in the world.
He is currently third in the all-time goalscorers chart which should give us some understanding of his proficiency. Kane is the club’s top scorer for the last five seasons and has pillaged an impressive 181 goals in 278 appearances.
Any team will struggle in the absence of such a marksman and Spurs are no different. In a ray of sunshine in these troubling times, it appears as if the striker will be fit and raring to go once the football season resumes.
According to the club’s official site, Kane is two to three weeks away from being able to resume full training. With the Premier League suspended until the end of April, this is should give us adequate time to ensure that the 26-year old is good to go.
Kane has not played for the club since suffering a hamstring injury against Southampton on New Year’s Day. He is currently recovering well and is continuing to work hard.
“From a rehab point of view and personal point of view, I’m doing really well”
The England skipper revealed that he is in a good place and hopes to be back with the team in two to three weeks. He is currently working on his fitness and feels that he is in a good place.
Kane also touched upon the coronavirus pandemic that is spreading across the world. He called it a time to be together and expressed his hope that things return to normal soon.
