Tottenham Hotspur star Eric Dier pays tribute to NHS workers
With the coronavirus pandemic spreading across the world, healthcare workers have taken the role of frontline fighters as they attempt to mount an effective resistance against its spread.
In order to honour those selfless servicemen, large parts of the UK took part in a moving round of applause for the NHS staff on Thursday. This mass show of appreciation was directed to showcase support to the ones working tirelessly to save lives amidst the coronavirus outbreak.
One such thankful citizen was Spurs midfielder, Eric Dier. A hero on the pitch, the English international is well aware of thanking those off it.
According to Football.london, the 26-year-old took part in the mass show of support and also went a step further by sending across a classy message. In the short video posted online, Dier expressed his gratitude to the NHS while also giving the thumbs-up sign.

The Tottenham Hotspur Hotspur Stadium joined other iconic venues across London such as Wembley Stadium, the O2 Arena and Royal Albert Hall in turning blue as a tribute to the NHS.
Spurs star Erik Lamela too voiced his gratitude to the health workers recently. Jose Mourinho has been seen volunteering at Age UK to help the vulnerable in the Enfield Area while Toby Alderweireld has supplied tablets to help the isolated stay in touch with their loved ones.
