Raul Jimenez sends transfer message to Tottenham Hotspur
According to a video on his official page (h/t Football.london), Wolverhampton Wanderers star Raul Jimenez has opened up on his future at the Molineux amidst links to other clubs including Tottenham Hotspur.
In a setback for us, the striker has pledged his future to Wolves even if the club fails to qualify for the Champions League. The pack is currently at 7th spot, five points off Chelsea in fourth and very much in the mix for Champions League qualification.
“I have a contract until 2023. It’s not that we have to qualify for the Champions League in order to stay.”
Jimenez has enjoyed a stellar season and has scored 22 goals and 10 assists in 44 games this season. He particularly has a good record against us and has scored three goals and two assists in four matches.
The player is happy at Wolves and has spoken of the improvements showcased by his side in recent seasons.

He has spoken of his experience of playing in the Europa League and remains keen to return to the Champions League. It is a competition he has played in earlier having made 22 appearances for both Benfica and Atletico Madrid.
Jimenez is the club’s record signing and initially joined on loan in 2018. He made the deal permanent after a spate of impressive showings in the Premier League. He went on to win the club’s Players’ Player of the Season in the 2018-19 season.
The 28-year-old has been one of the stars of Wolves’ rise in the Premier League, with the club currently knocking on the doors of Europe’s top table.

A regular for the Mexican national team, Jimenez has scored 23 goals in 82 appearances for his nation. He was a part of the squad that won the CONCACAF Gold Cup in 2019 where he also won the Golden Ball.
