Twitter reacts to Tottenham Hotspur live stream compilation
With the coronavirus pandemic bringing football to a halt, fans have been left to twiddle their thumbs at home on weekends with self-isolation the norm. Tottenham Hotspur have compiled a ninety-minute collection of the best 10-minute highlights of matches from the club’s time in the English Premier League.
The selection of the matches was made via votes with a total of 10 games selected. These games were divided into two halves to give a feel of watching an actual match.
A novel idea by the club, the montages of different matches were joined together to create an amalgamation that was both ingenious and entertaining. The first half comprised of six matches. These included the following matches.
- (Minutes 0 to 9:45)-Burnley (2019)
- (Minutes 9:45 to 14:09)-Hull (2017)
- (Minutes 14:09 to 20:00)-Bournemouth (2017)
- (Minutes 20:00 to 30:00)-Crystal Palace (2019)
- (Minutes 30:00 to 40:00)-Watford (2017)
- (Minutes 40:00 to 45:00)-Man City (2015)
The match against Manchester City in 2015 was divided into parts on either side of half time. It was noteworthy that most of the matches came during Pochettno’s reign at Spurs. Our time under the Argentine sure did present us with some wonderful memories.
More of the same in the second half
It was all Tottenham in the first half as we went in 11-0 at the break. Harry Kane gave us the lead in the fourth minute before Lucas Moura doubled our lead soon after. There was no let-up for the opposition as the goals rained in one after the other.
The opposition upped their ante after the break and took their quality up a notch as they tried to find a way back into the game. The following matches comprised the second half.
- (Minutes 45:00 to 50.25)-Man City (2015)
- (Minutes 50:25 to 60:00)-Arsenal (2017)
- (Minutes 60:00 to 69:53)-Chelsea (2018)
- (Minutes 69:53 to 79:30)-Man Utd (2016)
- (Minutes 79:30 to 90:00)-Watford (2019)
- Stoppage Time: Gareth Bale striker
There was no way back for the opposition as Spurs kept up the pressure. Gareth Bale rolled back the years as he scored in added time to ensure the club’s biggest win in history. A clean sheet to boot in what was a comprehensive win.
Let the 22-0 victory be a warning for the teams above us in the race for fourth. Spurs are marching up the hill. Harry Kane took the match ball home with a typically prolific performance in front of the goal. How many did the Englishman score? and who else contributed? Watch the video below to find out.
The compilation was well met by fans who appreciated the club’s ingenuity to coming up with something original. We take a look at some of the reactions below.
