Jose Mourinho planning for special group training from Monday
Jose Mourinho is set to train Tottenham players from Monday via videos, according to Football.london.
The report says that group taking is in order and will be done via videos at the players’ homes. The players have been training individually since the Premier League took a break due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Each star has also been handed a contact from the medical staff to stay connected during training. The players who can train are also contacted thrice a week by physios.
It will be interesting to see what kind of training ideas Mourinho can come up with in these joint sessions. However, the safety of all stakeholders at the club needs to be the priority during this coronavirus pandemic. Premier League football has been suspended till 30th April, and it will be interesting to see when the action returns.
Injured players receiving additional support
The coronavirus pandemic has made it difficult to meet up, but even injured stars are receiving treatment.
Football.london adds that those injured have special video sessions with Tottenham physios as they continue their recoveries at home.
Some special equipment has also been provided by the club to help players recover quicker. The report adds that sports scientists and physios from the club are working together to deal with the injured players using technology’s help.
Nutrition is very important in times when there is no football, and Spurs are working on that front too. The club provides a special nutrition programme to each player and have also sent packs for individuals.
