Harry Kane and Steph Houghton get together to unveil new campaign
The Football Association have decided to outline a plan to inform, entertain and empower millions of fans and followers under one a new initiative called ‘Football’s Staying Home.’
The campaign launches across England’s digital channels from today, Monday 30 March. It aims to bring together players of the past, present and also experts from the national football center at St. George’s Park. The aim is to produce content that engages fans at what is a difficult time for the nation.
The initiative was started off by England Men’s team skipper Harry Kane and his female counterpart Steph Houghton. The duo revealed what fans can expect from them in the coming weeks.

The campaign is supported across all of The FA’s brands and channels. This also includes FA Education, whose staff will be sharing daily tips to keep both adults and kids active.
The Boot Room will feature a range of insightful articles, guides and top tips from some of the most knowledgeable figures in the game. There will also be a broadcast of classic Emirates FA Cup and Barclays FA Women’s Super League matches back-to-back across the FA’s social channels every Sunday afternoon.
The FA has also urged fans to join in and have asked them to prepare original content and make use of the hashtag #Fotballsstayinghome.
The beautiful game is an escape for many fans. They can put behind the struggles of everyday life and immerse themselves in a game as their club attempts to do them proud. Hope is a beautiful thing and it becomes essential in times of great peril.
Both Kane and Steph are right in stating that football today is not important. It is imperative that people are given entertainment and support and above all, hope.
