Tottenham the most profitable club in England since 2014/15
Tottenham Hotspur have been the most profitable club in England since 2014/15 according to football business experts Vysyble (h/t Football.London).
Our team has topped Vysyble’s list of Top Economic Profit Achievers for 2015-19, beating current Premier League leaders Liverpool. According to the figures, Tottenham have posted an economic profit of £150.41m. In comparison, Liverpool’s economic profit stands at £145.98m.

Vysyble define economic profit as “a measure of performance that draws on information from the income and balance sheet statements and compares net operating profit after tax to the cost of all the capital invested in the business or organisation.”
Tottenham and Liverpool’s figures received a major boost owing to the fact they made it to the UEFA Champions League in the last season. However, what makes our achievement more impressive is that the Reds had featured in the final of Europe’s premier competition in the 2018-19 campaign as well.
Another factor that has worked in our favour is the income from transfer sales over the five-year period. During this time, we offloaded the likes of Kyle Walker, Kieran Trippier among others and made profits from their departures (h/t Football.London).

Our wage bill, which is smaller in comparison to most top six Premier League clubs, is also likely to have played a part in us posting such impressive figures(h/t Football.London).
Tottenham top the list, with Liverpool coming in second. Our rival clubs Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea feature in the bottom five on the list.
