Tanguy Ndombele sends a message to fans on Instagram
The coronavirus pandemic has led to players self-isolating at home. This has led to them pick up new hobbies or activities to pass the time.
Tanguy Ndombele does not usually post on social media. The player, however, took to Instagram yesterday and asked his followers to stay at home like him and keep smiling.
The message posted in his native French has garnered close to 60000 likes.

The coronavirus pandemic has led to social distancing becoming a necessity rather than an option. It is not too easy to stay stuck at home, but given the circumstances, one should find it within themselves to do so.
Ndombele is not a regular poster. His last post on Instagram was on March 9. Although a simple message, all of us will do well to pay heed the Frenchman’s advice.
Of second chances and retribution!
The 23-year-old has enjoyed a rather frustrating debut season in England. The club’s record signing, Ndombele has failed to hit the ground running. Injuries too have played spoilsport, sidelining him at various points this season.
His on-field performance is nothing much to write home either, forcing Jose Mourinho to call him out publically. A supremely talented player, Ndombele will hopefully kick on once the football resumes and show us exactly what he is capable of.
The talented youngster has made 27 appearances so far and has scored just two goals and four assists. The numbers are in no way terrible considering he has as many goals and four times the assists as the much-praised Giovani Lo Celso.
The issue, however, lies with his impact on the game or to be precise, the lack of it. Let’s hope it is just a matter of time before he replicates his form from his Lyon days.
