Tottenham target Eduardo Camavinga slapped with €50m price tag
Teenage sensation Eduardo Camavinga, who is on the radars of a number of clubs including Tottenham, has been slapped with a €50m price tag, according to reports in Spain (h/t Football.london).
Camavinga has enjoyed a prominent rise in stature over the past year at Ligue 1 side Rennes. The 17-year-old defensive midfielder has made 36 appearances across all competitions for the French outfit this season, scoring a goal and setting up two more.
The midfielder, in his short career at the senior level, has attracted some serious interest from the likes of Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund along with Tottenham Hotspur (h/t Football.london).
And now, the interested parties have been told that they will need to splash €50m to acquire the teenage midfielder’s services (h/t Football.london).
With Victor Wanyama being allowed to leave, the Tottenham squad lacks the presence of a genuine enforcer in the centre of the park. While Harry Winks has been very impressive this season, the Englishman isn’t an out-and-out No.6 and that is something which should be addressed by our club heading into the summer window.
Camavinga has made the fifth most tackles and interceptions combined (142) in Europe’s top five leagues this season (h/t WhoScored), indicating the kind of bite and solidity he brings in the middle of the park. That is something that Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho desires in his teams, but has been lacking at our club, making him the ideal target.

The report does state that Real Madrid are the favourites to land Camavinga, although Tottenham are not giving up on the pursuit of the Rennes midfielder as of yet.
