Tottenham interested in Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana
Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana, who will be out of contract with the Premier League leaders at the end of the season, has emerged as a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur, according to the Express (h/t Football.london).
Lallana has fallen down the pecking order at Anfield over the past year or so, with injuries not helping his cause. The 31-year-old is in the final few months of his contract and will be a free agent in the summer. His potential availability has alerted a number of teams in the Premier League, with Tottenham among them (h/t Football.london).
Lallana has been with Liverpool for almost six years now, having signed from Southampton in 2014. Till date, the midfielder has racked up 178 appearances, scoring and assisting 22 goals apiece.
The ongoing season though, has seen Lallana struggle for regular game time. The 31-year-old has started just eight matches across all competitions and has managed just one goal in his 22 appearances.
Along with Tottenham, Lallana’s former team Southampton are also interested in signing him up, along with Leicester City as well as our London rivals Arsenal and West Ham United (h/t Football.london).
Our midfield unit hasn’t performed at its best this season. Dele Alli has blown hot and cold, while Tanguy Ndombele has failed to settle into the team in his first season, whereas Moussa Sissoko has had problems with injuries.

Giovani Lo Celso and Harry Winks have impressed, but adding another experienced head like Lallana in the middle of the park, who has years of top flight experience, wouldn’t be the worst thing.
The 31-year-old wouldn’t be a starter week in week out. But considering that he would be coming in for no transfer fee and has plenty left to offer at this level yet, seems worth taking a punt as a squad player for us.
