Harry Kane urged to stay at Tottenham by Martin Keown

Harry Kane has been urged to stay put at Tottenham Hotspur in the summer by former Arsenal defender Martin Keown amid exit rumours (h/t Daily Mail).

Following the 26-year-old’s admission last month that he may eventually leave Tottenham in pursuit of trophies, rumours have been flying left, right and centre, linking Kane with an exit. Usual suspects Manchester United and Real Madrid have been linked with a move for our star man in the upcoming window (h/t Metro).

Amidst this, former Arsenal defender Martin Keown has weighed in on the future of Kane, stating that the England captain needs the stability that he gets with Tottenham at a time when he is coming back from a serious injury (h/t Daily Mail).

“He needs nurturing back to his best after his injury. He needs games, the support of those around him and perhaps some patience. He will get that with Tottenham.”

Keown also went on to claim that Kane should not think about an exit for at least another six months and focus on his recovery and see where Tottenham are going under Jose Mourinho (h/t Daily Mail).

Kane has been out injured since January. Prior to that, our star forward had been in brilliant form and his injury had a negative impact on our results from thereon.

There is no denying how important that the 26-year-old is for our team and losing him is not something that any Spurs fan would want to see. Hopefully the club does everything possible to ensure that he stays put for years and years to come.
