Tottenham Hotspur could sign Jack Grealish if Harry Kane is sold – Darren Bent

According to the Evening Standard, former Tottenham Hotspur striker Darren Bent has backed the club to sign Jack Grealish if they sell Harry Kane this summer.

The Villa skipper has been linked with a move away, with United touted as a possible destination. Grealish is expected to move regardless of whether Villa stays up or not.

Apart from Grealish, United are also keen on by bringing in Jadon Sancho and Harry Kane, the latter set to cost an incredible £200million.

According to Bent, United’s spending will be limited to Sancho and Kane, letting Spurs have a free hand in the pursuit of Grealish.

He has backed Spurs to have the finances to make the signing while also pointing out that the North Londoners haven’t really been linked with anyone else.

“They’re not really linked with anybody else and I think they can get that done quite comfortably.”

Bent believes Sancho and Kane will cost United in the region of £300million. Given the current financial situation, the club will be hard-pressed to spend more.

Such a deal would also deepen our pockets, giving us further ammo to go get Grealish.

“I can see Spurs being the frontrunners and just getting him.”

Grealish has enjoyed a memorable debut season in the Premier League. The 24-year-old has 9 goals and 6 assists for Aston Villa this season. However, the Villans are 19th in the Premier League and in danger of relegation.

Villa at the time was a Championship side and the deal worth £25m ended in failure, according to the report. It promises to be an interesting summer in North London.
