Pierluigi Gollini broke into the Italy national team in 2019
Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho is not interested in 25-year-old keeper Pierluigi Gollini, according to the Mirror.
The 25-year-old has become a regular for Atalanta after spending two years on loan at the club. Gollini has English experience, after spending a season with Aston Villa, however, he has grown in stature with a return to Italy.
The 25-year-old broke into the Italian national team in 2019 and featured in a Euro 2020 qualifier.
Tottenham were linked with Gollini as a possible replacement for Hugo Lloris, however, the Mirror has rubbished such claims. We do have some goalkeeping issues currently, and it will be interesting to see what our plans are in the summer transfer window.
Spurs need a replacement for Lloris
Lloris is one of the most experienced players in our current team. However, we need to plan for a future without the club captain.
The Frenchman is also a World Cup winner, but time is not on his side. The 33-year-old also had a horrific elbow injury this season but has recovered well.
Michel Vorm was re-signed after being allowed to leave on a free. However, Paulo Gazzaniga has stepped up when Lloris has been out this season. The Argentine has played 25 times for us this season and he could be the replacement for Lloris.
Gazzaniga is 28 and still has several years at the top, but we still need another goalkeeper to join as cover. Lloris has been an incredible servant to the club but there have been off-field issues that have tainted his image as well.
The Frenchman has also made some big errors during his time here but has also put up some incredible performances.

Gazzaniga still needs to improve his game a bit before he can match Lloris’ levels. Hopefully, the Frenchman stays for a bit longer as we try and find the right keeper to sign.
