Marcel Sabitzer opens up on Tottenham Hotspur interest
According to Sport1 (h/t Football.london), RB Leipzig vice-captain Marcel Sabitzer has opened up on interest from Tottenham Hotspur in signing him.
Sabitzer has been a key member of the RB Leipzig side since making the move to the club in 2015. The 26-year-old has once again impressed this season, playing a crucial role in his side’s push for both domestic and European progress.
Sabitzer’s performances have seen him get linked with Tottenham. And the midfielder has now reacted to these speculations (h/t Football.london).
He admitted that he too has read the news and presumes to be nothing but speculation as of yet. He also admitted to there being uncertainty in the market due to the current circumstances (h/t Football.london).

Sabitzer is currently enjoying his best season in Leipzig colors. He has scored 15 goals and eight assists in 35 appearances across all competitions. This includes the double he scored in the Champions League home tie against Tottenham.

Midfield woes!
Injury to key personnel has prevented the Spurs attack from scoring goals as they usually do. The drop in form and eventual sale of playmaker Christian Eriksen has not helped matters either.
With a lack of cover upfront, we have been forced to play midfielders such as Lucas Moura and Dele Alli upfront. Not only have we ended up playing them out of position but have also weakened the midfield by taking them away from their natural positions.
The addition of Sabitzer will give us more options and a reliable goalscorer from midfield.
