“Hanging up in my bedroom”: Spurs starlet reveals most treasured possession in candid interview

Oliver Skipp does not believe in ghosts nor superstitions in candid interview

Tottenham Hotspur starlet Oliver Skipp has opened up on a myriad of curious questions in a Q&A organized by the club’s official site.

With football on the pitch on a pause, clubs have had to come up with innovative initiatives to keep fans entertained. One such is the 18-82 Q and A. Players were quizzed on 18 questions out of a possible 82 by taking the club’s year of formation as inspiration.

It’s not a surprise that Skipp looked assured on his debut. In spite of being a youngster, he hardly looked out of place alongside seasoned professionals. But then if you don’t believe in ghosts or superstitions, a football game is hardly something to fear.

He also considers the jersey he wore on his first appearance as his prized possession. If he develops as we expect him to, there will be plenty more where that came from. (h/t TottenhamHotspur.com)

“It’s the shirt from my Spurs debut (3-1 win against West Ham in the Carabao Cup, October, 2018), signed by the team. It’s hanging up in my bedroom.”

A no-nonsense individual

The 19-year old also revealed that he loves to spend time with his friends and play golf in his meantime. He is close to his family and is fortunate enough to not have had a job outside of football.

Skipp is also not in favour of growing his facial hair as it makes him seem much older. We, however, fail to see the difference as his love for golf already lends him an air of seniority.

A no-nonsense player on the pitch, he seems to be the same off it as he shut down questions with alarming straightforwardness. Right from dismissing an off-handed question about a career in music to the word he most commonly uses, Skipp showcased he is a tough nut to provoke.

A player with an impressive passing range, it is no surprise that he can see himself play the role of the sniper in ‘Shooter’.

Skipp also showcased his allegiance for Tottenham by revealing Danny Rose’s strike against Arsenal in 2018 to be his favorite goal.
