Tottenham interested in signing released Stoke City goalkeeper Adnan Kanuric
19-year-old goalkeeper Adnan Kanuric is a transfer target for Tottenham Hotspur. This report comes from the print edition of the Daily Star (h/t Football.london)
The 19-year-old Kanuric spent most of his youth career in Austria and Germany, before joining Stoke City in 2018. The Bosnian goalkeeper featured a few times for the Potters’ U18 side, but the Championship side released him in February this year.
Kanuric joined Slovakian outfit SKF Sered in the aftermath. He featured four times for the club before the suspension of the season. The report claims that Tottenham were impressed by the 19-year-old’s performances in those matches and are keen on securing his signing in the summer.
The goalkeeping department looks set for a revamp heading into the next season. Hugo Lloris’ powers have been on the wane, which has led to the club looking for long-term replacements for him.
Michel Vorm’s contract will expire at the end of the season. The seasoned Dutchman, along with academy man Jonathan De Bie are reported targets for Belgian outfit Anderlecht. This would leave us short on options in our reserve goalkeeping department.
However, a move for Kanuric seems a little out of the blue. The 19-year-old has conceded eight goals in his four games at SKF Sered.

Even if the Bosnian U21 international joins us, he will be linking up with the reserves or be the third-choice keeper at best. The report further adds that AC Milan are also interested in the services of the 19-year-old shot stopper.
