Twitter reacts to Kyle Walker’s intention to stay at Southampton
According to Sky Sports, Tottenham Hotspur defender Kyle Walker-Peters is keen to continue at Southampton on loan if the season extends beyond June.
The 23-year-old has made only one appearance since joining the Saints on loan in January. Southampton want to keep him and help him develop. They will then assess him to see if it is worth signing him on a permanent basis.
The player does not appear to have a future at Spurs. With three years left on his contract, we are in a good position to listen to offers for him this summer.
A number of fans took to Twitter to express themselves following the player’s revelation. While a number of them weren’t too fussed about him leaving, others were keen to make the most of him wanting to stay at the St Mary’s.
Tottenham have been linked with Saints skipper Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg. The Danish international is a solid player and it will be well worth our time in exploring a transfer involving a swap of Walker-Peters and the midfielder.
Let us take a look at some of the Tweets below.

Though Kyle-Walker Peters is a talented young lad, Mourinho sent him out on loan despite the lack of depth at right-back. It remains to be seen if Mourinho intends to include Walker-Peters in his future plans but for now, a swap deal involving the youngster and Hojbjerg doesn’t sound bad at all.
