Juan Foyth’s agent believes the player has no future at Tottenham Hotspur
According to TalkSport (h/t Football.london), Claudio Curti, the agent of Juan Foyth does not believe that his client has a future at Tottenham Hotspur.
A full international for Argentina, the youngster is yet to make a mark at Spurs. Approaching the end of his third season in North London, he has made just 32 appearances, scoring one goal.
Foyth has had a season to forget. Injuries have not helped matters but neither has he been able to impress new manager Jose Mourinho. He has failed to make an appearance since playing against Norwich City in December.
He has fallen further down the pecking order since the emergence of Japhet Tanganga. Foyth may have no other option but to resurrect his career elsewhere. Talking about the issue, Curti revealed that he does not believe Foyth’s future lies at Tottenham.
“For what has happened in recent times, we don’t think so. But we still have a pending talk with Tottenham to clarify the future.”
He expects the issue to be raised during a pending chat he has with the club. He went on to add that if Spurs cannot guarantee this client enough playtime, Foyth will have no choice but to seek his fortunes elsewhere.
“If he can’t have minutes in Tottenham we will have to look at the best options for him to develop and play anywhere else.”
A full international for Argentina, the 22-year-old needs to play regularly to improve and also keep his place in the national side. Having a player on your payroll who isn’t even making the matchday squad clearly isn’t helping anyone.
Interest in the player is high with a number of clubs keen. Curti appeared to downplay recent talk of interest from Barcelona as rumours. However, he did add that a number of teams have inquired about his situation at Spurs.
“We have been consulted by several teams for him and his situation at Tottenham.”

Brought in by Mauricio Pochettino, a lot was expected of Foyth. A number of factors have seen him fail to make the desired impact in spite of being at the club for three years. Although his talent and potential aren’t in question, his future certainly is.
