Twitter reacts to Tottenham Hotspur owner Joe Lewis’ wealth drop
According to Football.london, billionaire Tottenham Hotspur owner Joe Lewis has seen his personal value drop as per the figures by Forbes.
He owns the Tavistock Group, which has more than 200 assets across 15 countries. One of that company’s assets is the investment firm ENIC, which in turn owns the majority stake in Tottenham Hotspur.
The Forbes list names Lewis as the 427th richest man in the world with a personal fortune of £3.9billion. This represents a reduction from his last year’s valuation which was £4.6billion.
A number of Spurs fans took to Twitter to react to the news. While a number of them took the news with a pinch of salt, others expressed their frustration at what is seen as a lack of investment in the club.
Lack of investment has been a constant point of frustration for Spurs fans. With the financial crisis looming, it does not look like changing anytime soon.
Lewis’ misfortune will find few sympathizers, at least among the faithful. We take a look at some of the tweets below.
