The 26-year-old had been in fine form during the 2019/20 campaign. However, a hamstring injury he sustained in January against Southampton saw him getting sidelined.
Tottenham’s form took a huge beating following the England captain’s injury. It didn’t help matters that Son Heung-min and Steven Bergwijn also picked up injuries soon after.
However, with the Premier League getting suspended in March due to the coronavirus has meant that Kane & co. have had enough time to recover completely and make themselves available for the final run-in. And the 26-year-old has now admitted that he can’t wait to be back on the field after a lengthy hiatus. (h/t The Sun)
“Just the feeling of getting back out on the pitch again, with fans or without fans, will be so challenging — and I just can’t wait to do it. I got injured on January 1, so whenever we start playing again it’s going to be at least six months before I play another game, which is a very long time.”
The 26-year-old also admitted that it will be a big challenge for him, given that he has been out on the sidelines for six months now. (h/t The Sun)
