Ryan Fraser sets his eyes on Tottenham Hotspur move
According to the Mirror, Ryan Fraser is keen to join Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer in the upcoming transfer window.
A versatile player capable of playing on either wings, Fraser will be a solid addition, especially given the current financial scenario.
The midfielder has made 32 appearances for the Cherries this season and has scored one goal and registered four assists. He has also won 11 caps for Scotland since making his debut in 2017.
With his contract expiring this June, a number of clubs are keen on the winger. Two among them are Arsenal and Liverpool. (h/t Mirror)
The midfielder’s desire to join Spurs will come as welcome news to Jose Mourinho. With the club’s finances having taken a hit, the Portuguese has been left with no options but to scour for free transfers and loans.
Spurs have endured a disappointing season so far. The club also look likely to miss out on the Champions League given our position in the league. Missing out on the riches on Europe’s premier competition will only add to our woes.
With a return to the top four a priority, certain aspects of the squad will have to be overhauled. Doing so on a budget will test our recruitment skills to the fullest. Fraser has been with Bournemouth for over seven years. Till date, he has notched up over 200 appearances for the Cherries, bagging 24 goals and 33 assists.
Fraser’s availability for free, coupled with his age and experience in the top flight, make him an attractive prospect for Tottenham.
