Tottenham Hotspur fans react on Twitter as Premier League return date confirmed
According to BBC, fans can soon see Tottenham Hotspur back in action with the Premier League set to return on June 17.
The fixtures will kick off with Aston Villa vs Sheffield United and Manchester City vs Arsenal. The fixtures will ensure that all the teams will have played an equal number of games – 29.
A full fixture list would then be played on the next weekend from 19-21 June. At this stage, all 20 Premier League clubs have agreed in principle to resume the season.
This comes just a day after contract training was approved as a part of Project Restart. This is the first time that we have a definite date for the resumption of football since it was suspended on March 13.
Players and staff will continue to be tested twice a week. The capacity will be increased from 50 to 60 tests per club for the fourth round of testing. So far, 12 people have tested positive for coronavirus after 2,752 tests across the league. Any players or staff who test positive must self-isolate for a period of seven days.
The unexpected lull has given Spurs the opportunity to bring our stars to fitness. With a fully fit squad at his disposal, Jose Mourinho will look to launch an assault on the top four. With nine games to go, anything is possible.
A number of Tottenham fans took to Twitter to react to this news. We take a look at a few of them below.

Im excited, not sure what these debbie downers are on about. They were never going to cancel the season and hand us another CL appearance because we got one last season, think that’s at the heart of it.

If we come back playing like we did before it stopped then we will be lucky to finish top 10
— Billy Mcgon (@billytheyido) May 28, 2020
Happy to see us back and with a fit team this time

A fit squad, no injuries, so no excuses!

I’m optimistic that we can find our form and grab some points, but I don’t think we can reach the top 5.
Midfield and defense are the issues. Will Ndombele be fit and have the necessary mentality? Will our back 4 hold up?
