Jamie O’Hara sheds light on bust-up between Robbie Keane and Edgar Davids

In an interview with talkSPORT (h/t Mirror), former Tottenham Hotspur star Jamie O’Hara has lifted the lid on the training ground bust-up that happened between Robbie Keane and Edgar Davids.

The incident took place in December 2005, a few months after Davids had signed for Spurs from Inter Milan. The Dutchman had been the star man at a number of elite clubs such as Milan, Ajax and Barcelona prior to his arrival at Tottenham.

So, he had that air about him when he arrived at the club, O’Hara has claimed. However, Keane had been at the club for a while and was the main man at the White Hart Lane at the time.

“He thought he was the guy and the main man and everything, but everyone realised Robbie Keane was the main guy at Tottenham at that time.”

So, naturally the two egos ended up clashing during a training session, which ended up in Keane decking the Dutchman. (h/t Mirror)

“I remember him giving it to Keano in training and they were having a barney, and I think he tried to step to Robbie Keane and say something – and Keano just sparked him, bosh! He just went, bang – one punch. Gone.”

Davids and Keane were forced to issue a public apology in the aftermath of the incident. The former left Tottenham in January 2017, after making just 44 appearances.

Keane, on the other hand, stayed at our club till 2008, before returning a year later. He went on to make 302 appearances for Spurs, bagging 121 goals, before finally leaving for LA Galaxy in 2011.
