Galatasaray enter race to sign Tottenham target Ryan Fraser
According to a report from the Daily Record, Tottenham will face competition from Turkish giants Galatasaray in the race to sign Bournemouth winger Ryan Fraser.
The 26-year-old Scotsman is out of contract with the Cherries at the end of the season and will be available on a free transfer in the summer. This has seen a lot of clubs take an interest in his services including Tottenham.
In fact, recent reports have even claimed that Fraser had his heart set on a move to Spurs, with Daniel Levy in the process of preparing a lucrative contract for the winger. However, Galatasaray have now expressed their interest in signing the Scottish international once his contract with the Cherries runs out.
Fraser has been with Bournemouth for seven years now and has made 208 appearances for the South Coast club. He has notched up returns of 24 goals and 33 assists. In the ongoing campaign, the Scotsman has contributed with a solitary goal and four assists in 32 appearances across all competitions.
The 26-year-old’s free agency makes him an attractive target for our club, at a time when finances have been hit by the coronavirus crisis. Moreover, given his age and experience in the Premier League, Fraser would be a fine addition to the squad.
However, Galatasaray are hoping to beat us to his signing by offering him the lure of Champions League football. At the time of football getting suspended in Turkey, they were third in the Super Lig. They are just three points below top two teams Trabzonspor and Istanbul Basaksehir.

Tottenham, on the other hand, are eight in the Premier League standings, seven points below Chelsea in the fourth place. With nine games left, we still have a chance to scale that difference and earn a place in Europe’s premier competition. This would further boost our chances to sign Fraser.
