Tottenham striker Troy Parrott set to miss PL restart after undergoing appendix surgery
Tottenham striker Troy Parrott has undergone a surgery to remove his appendix and will miss the restart of the Premier League campaign, the club has confirmed on their official website.
The 18-year-old forward was taken to the hospital after he complained of a stomach pain to the club’s medical staff. And the club have now confirmed that he has undergone a procedure to get his appendix removed.
A statement issued by Tottenham read:
“Troy Parrott has undergone surgery to remove his appendix. The young striker was found to have early signs of appendicitis after reporting abdominal pain to our medical staff. He will now undergo a period of recovery before commencing rehabilitation and returning to training later in June.”
Parrott has been on Tottenham’s books since 2017, when he joined from Irish club Belvedere. The youngster made his senior debut for the club in September last year, in a Carabao Cup clash against Colchester United. Till date, he has made four first-team appearances and is yet to score his first goal.
With the Premier League set for a restart on June 17, it looks like the youngster will be missing the resumption of the campaign.
