Harry Kane to face Piers Morgan in all-star celebrity pro-am golf challenge
According to the Daily Star, Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane will headline a star-studded charity golf tournament alongside famous Arsenal fan Piers Morgan.
The tournament to be held this Friday will also include former Spurs favourites Peter Crouch and Jamie Redknapp. Ashes hero Andrew Flintoff will also take part alongside Ryder Cup stars Tommy Fleetwood, Thomas Bjorn, and Paul McGinley in the competition to be held at the Centurion Club in Hertfordshire.
The event will revolve around a set of obstacles as the game returns following the coronavirus pandemic. The competition format will see eight challenges that need to be negotiated in pairs. This includes a driving challenge and a world record attempt in holing a putt from distance.
Following that, each participant will try their luck at The Shootout. Points will be awarded for getting as close to the hole as possible. The points awarded with be directly proportional to the difficulty the hole presents.
With both easy and difficult holes on offer, each player will be given the opportunity to decide which one they prefer to play.
There will be two pools of five players. The winner of each group will then face off in the final for the Paddy Power Blazer. Betting is open on the event, with all proceeds going to charity.
The competition will be high, with the likes of Crouch, Redknapp and Piers all keen golfers. Piers had earlier achieved a handicap of 16. Kane will have to be wary, as facing this Gunners fan isn’t going to be as easy as facing their football team on the pitch.
