Tottenham lost 2-1 to Norwich City in a friendly, as per Alasdair Gold
Reliable journalist and Football.london’s Tottenham correspondent Alasdair Gold has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have lost the friendly encounter against Norwich City 2-1.
Jose Mourinho had scheduled a friendly with the Canaries in order for his players to get back to peak fitness ahead of the return of the Premier League next week. The friendly came in the aftermath of a 11v11 training match between our own players last week.
However, if Gold’s update is anything to go by, the result didn’t pan out in our favour with Norwich beating us 2-1 in the end. He does go on to add that the report is unconfirmed at this point, while he also stresses that the game went on for much longer than the usual 90 minutes plus 15-minute half-time break.
Hearing, and I must stress that this is very much unconfirmed, that Spurs ended up losing 2-1. Again I should point out that whether this took the form of a standard friendly or an extended training exercise is up for some debate. All about fitness in the end I guess.

Nevertheless, the report got a lot of fans talking, with many left displeased with the outcome of the game.

No sooner are the spurs fans out bantering the gooners for an embarrassing loss, Spurs step up and humiliate us immediately. Never change spurs, never change

The result, if true, will not have pleased Mourinho. However, as long as the players work their way to full fitness and there are no new injuries, we should be good.
Still a week to go for our game against Manchester United. COYS!
