Tottenham made an offer for Metz striker Habib Diallo in January claims agent
In an interview with APS (h/t Football.london), Thierno Seydi, the agent of Metz striker Habib Diallo, has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur had made an offer to sign his client in the January transfer window.
The 25-year-old Diallo has been with Metz since 2013, having joined from Senegal’s Generation Foot academy. After loan spells away at Stade Brest, the forward has become a regular at Metz since 2018. Till date, he has featured 111 times for the club, bagging 48 goals and 14 assists.
Diallo enjoyed a decent 2019/20 campaign in the Ligue 1, finishing with a tally of 12 goals and 3 assists from 26 games. His agent, Seydi, has now claimed that our club made an offer to sign the Senegalese striker back in January. (h/t Football.london)
He also added that the 25-year-old has a release clause that will come in effect this summer and a transfer away from Metz should be settled once the transfer window opens. (h/t Football.london)
“Already last January there was an offer from Tottenham. As soon as the European markets open, it should be settled.”
This claim got the Tottenham fans talking on social media, with some wondering if the club should consider making a move for him in the summer transfer window. Here are some of the reactions from the club’s supporters on the subject.

Seriously, whoever is in charge of recruitment at Spurs must have their FIFA game frozen on the French league! The only thing that hasn’t been linked at this stage is the mascots!!
