The t-shirts will be emblazoned with a message – Together We Are Stronger.

A statement on the club’s website read:

“Tottenham Hotspur stands firmly against racism, discrimination and hatred of any kind. Equality and inclusion is at the heart of everything we do as a Club.

“We are proud of the rich ethnic diversity that exists within our local communities, amongst our global fanbase, our staff and the players from all countries and backgrounds who have represented our Club over the years.”

This gesture comes after the confirmation that players across all clubs will be wearing match shirts with ‘Black Lives Matter’ printed in place of their names for the first 12 matches after the campaign resumes.

In addition, a Black Lives Matter logo will also feature on match shirts for the remainder of the season, along with a badge thanking the NHS for its work during the COVID-19 pandemic. (h/t TottenhamHotspur.com)

More Tottenham Hotspur News

Only last week, Tottenham had reprimanded and vowed to take action against fans who were allegedly involved in abusing Black Lives Matter protesters in Hertfordshire.

They are now backing it up with a show of solidarity by deciding to wear special t-shirts ahead of the United game on Friday. Goes without saying that it is a fine gesture from our club considering the current circumstances.
