In an interview with Italian outlet Passione Inter (h/t Football.london), Claudio Curti, the agent of Tottenham defender Juan Foyth, has claimed that his client would be happy to join Inter Milan if the club comes calling this summer.

Having hardly featured since Jose Mourinho took over the reins, Foyth has been heavily linked with an exit, with Champioship side Leeds United mooted as the most likely destination.

Foyth’s agent, Curti, has now claimed that Inter Milan had tried to sign the youngster before he joined our club three years ago. He further added that should the Nerazzurri come calling again, the 22-year-old would be happy to make the switch, as he has the capability to perform for a club of Inter’s stature. “Yes, Inter looked at him before he signed for Tottenham [in 2017]. “Currently, Inter are not interested. If there is any interest in the future, we will listen. Juan can play at a club as big as Inter. He has the personality, technical qualities.”

Foyth’s career at Tottenham has failed to take off with injuries also playing a spoilsport. Indeed, the Argentine missed the restart of the Premier League season with a knee injury. He may not be available for the rest of the campaign.

Foyth may have struggled to become a regular, but the ability is clearly there. Hence, the best move for both him and the club at the moment would be to send him out on loan for a season and not offload him permanently.
