Tottenham want to sign Manchester United star Dean Henderson
As reported by Manchester Evening News, Tottenham Hotspur manager Jose Mourinho is an admirer of Manchester United goalkeeper Dean Henderson and is interested in signing the Englishman as a long-term replacement for Hugo Lloris.
Henderson, 23, is a product of the Manchester United academy. However, the Englishman is yet to feature for the Red Devils’ first-team. But he has enjoyed a meteoric rise in stature over the past two years, during his loan spell away at Sheffield United.
Henderson was the best goalkeeper in the English second division last season, as he helped the Blades to promotion to the Premier League. He has continued in his merry ways in his debut Premier League campaign as well, establishing himself as one of the best in the top flight.
In 29 Premier League outings this term, the Manchester United loanee has conceded just 25 times, keeping 11 clean sheets in the process. His rapid rise has put a number of clubs on high alert, including Tottenham and Chelsea. (h/t MEN)
Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has claimed that the 23-year-old has what it takes to be the No. 1 at the club. The Red Devils are even intent on offering Henderson a new contract in order to stave off interest. However, with David de Gea still at the club, Henderson does not want to play second-fiddle to the Spaniard. (h/t MEN)
This has led to increased speculations surrounding his future, with Tottenham one of the clubs monitoring the situation closely. (h/t MEN)

Mourinho has seen the 23-year-old from close quarters during his time at United and is an admirer of his abilities. With Hugo Lloris entering the back end of his career, signing Henderson would be a great move by the club. (h/t MEN)
However, we will be operating on a limited transfer budget this summer. So, it remains to be seen if the club is capable of going toe to toe with Chelsea in order to secure the Englishman’s signing.
