Bayern Munich to offer Corentin Tolisso plus cash for Tottenham star Tanguy Ndombele
According to a report from ESPN, Bayern Munich could be willing to offer Corentin Tolisso in a player plus cash swap deal for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele this summer.
Ndombele’s first season at Tottenham has hardly gone according to plan. Having arrived for a club record fee from Olympique Lyon, the Frenchman has struggled after a positive start. His situation has only deteriorated since Jose Mourinho took over the reins at the club last November.
The 23-year-old has hardly featured under the Portuguese, who hasn’t shied away from having a go at his midfielder in the media. Ndombele has been an unused substitute in both of Tottenham’s games since the restart of the Premier League, with his last appearance for the club coming against Burnley in March.
Things, seemingly, have come to a head between the pair with Ndombele reportedly claiming to never play under Mourinho. It is even being claimed that there is no way back, at least from Ndombele’s side, with his agents already looking for possible solutions ahead of the summer window. (h/t ESPN)
One such solution could be offered by German champions Bayern Munich. The Bundesliga heavyweights are looking to add to their midfield department amid speculations over the future of Thiago Alcantara. In addition, they are also actively looking to offload Ndombele’s compatriot Corentin Tolisso. (h/t ESPN)
As per the report, Bayern would be open to a swap deal with Tottenham, which would see them sign Ndombele, with Spurs receiving Tolisso in exchange along with cash. (h/t ESPN)
The 25-year-old Tolisso has been with Bayern since 2017 and has been a top performer when fit and available. The midfielder was also part of the France squad that won the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

Signing him in exchange for Ndombele does sound as an enticing opportunity. But Tolisso’s recent injury record does cause a bit of concern. As a result, things could end up the same way as they have gone down with Ndombele.
The report also adds that the likes of Barcelona and PSG are also interested in Ndombele. But neither clubs have the requisite funds to sign him permanently, although they are open to taking him on loan.
Does it mean Ndombele’s time at Tottenham coming to an end already?
