Tottenham lose out to Liverpool in Fabian Mrozek race
As reported by Futbol.pl (h/t Football.london), Tottenham Hotspur missed out on the signing of teenage goalkeeper Fabian Mrozek from FC Wroclaw, with the 16-year-old joining Liverpool instead.
Mrozek started out at the academy of Polish club Kluczbork, before joinig Wroclaw in January 2017. The teenager didn’t make his first-team debut for the Polish outfit, but had a number of big clubs chasing him, with Tottenham also reportedly among the suitors. (h/t Football.london)
The same has been confirmed by Wroclaw’s academy co-ordinator Milosz Gladoch, who told Futbol.pl (h/t Football.london) that Spurs had held talks with the club over the signing of Mrozek.
“We held talks with Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Hoffenheim, Bayer Leverkusen, Benfica and Tottenham.”
However, Liverpool have beaten all the competitors to the capture of the teenage goalkeeper, who has represented Poland at the U-15 and U-16 levels.
Football agent Jakub Schlage from the SSM Football Agency took to Twitter to confirm the transfer earlier this week.

Mrozek had held trials with the Reds earlier this season. That may have played a part in him choosing a switch to Anfield over other clubs.
