Jamie O’Hara urges Tottenham to make a move for Jack Grealish
Speaking to talkSPORT, as reported by Birmingham Live, ex-Tottenham Hotspur star Jamie O’Hara has urged his former club to launch a move for Aston Villa skipper Jack Grealish this summer.
The 24-year-old Grealish came through the youth ranks at Aston Villa and has grown into one of their best players in recent years. The Englishman played a key role in their promotion to the Premier League in 2018/19.
And he was once again key for the Midlands’ outfit as they just about hung on to their Premier League status in 2019/20. Grealish ended the season gone by with a return of 10 goals and 8 assists from 41 matches across all competitions.
The Aston Villa captain has been heavily linked with an exit for some time now, with the two clubs from Manchester reportedly taking an interest. However, former Spurs’ man, O’Hara, has urged the club to make a move for Grealish, claiming that he would be a brilliant signing for us. (h/t Birmingham Live)
“I really like him, he’s had a great season. I think it would be brilliant for Spurs if I’m honest. He would be great – does he stay at Villa? I think now it’s time for him to step up.”
However, Aston Villa are demanding £80m for their captain and are in no pressure to sell him, having survived the threat of relegation. O’Hara insists that Villa’s valuation is a bit excessive, especially in the current market. He also questioned whether Tottenham have those kind of funds to sign him up. (h/t Birmingham Live)
“I don’t know if Spurs have got the money, maybe if they’re offloading a couple.”

Given that Dele Alli struggled in the last season, adding another attacking midfielder to the squad would be a step in the right direction. And Grealish would add a lot to our side. However, if Villa’s demands stay as they are currently, we can rule out a move for him.
