Inter Milan want €50m for Tottenham target Milan Skriniar
According to a report from Sportmediaset (h/t Football.london), Serie A giants Inter Milan have slapped a €50m price tag on star defender Milan Skriniar, amid serious interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
The 25-year-old Skriniar joined Inter Milan in 2017 from fellow Serie A side Sampdoria. During his three years at San Siro, the Slovakian international has grown into one of the most solid defenders in Europe.
A permanent fixture in the Inter Milan backline, the 25-year-old has dropped down the pecking order in the past few weeks. This has led to speculations surrounding his future, with the Nerazzurri now ready to offload him in the current transfer window. (h/t Football.london)
This has put Tottenham Hotspur on high alert. The club have been heavily linked with a move for the Slovakian international and signing him would make complete sense for the club.
Our defence was all over the place in the 2019/20 campaign. None of the central defenders performed consistently enough. In addition, we also lost Jan Vertonghen, who left upon the expiry of his contract. While he hadn’t been a regular this term, his experience and quality will lead a huge void, which the club needs to fill this summer.
And Skriniar would be the perfect option to bolster our defensive department. However, Inter Milan have now placed a valuation of €50m on the Slovakian international.

Given the current financial situation, it seems a tad unlikely that Daniel Levy would be willing to splash such a figure on a single player.
However, there have been talks of a potential swap deal involving Skriniar and Tanguy Ndombele. With Real Madrid also interested in the Inter Milan star, we will need to act quickly.
