Tottenham confirm the signing of Joe Hart
Tottenham Hotspur have completed the second signing of the summer transfer window, as Joe Hart has joined the club on a two-year contract, it has been confirmed on the official website.
The 33-year-old had been a free agent after terminating his contract with Burnley. And now, Spurs have signed him up on a free transfer, with the former England international penning a contract till the summer of 2022. (h/t TottenhamHotspur.com)
Hart hasn’t had the best of times since leaving Manchester City. The veteran Englishman had troubled spells at Torino and West Ham, while he didn’t see a lot of playing time during his stint with Burnley. However, he is confident that he has plenty left to offer at this level. (h/t TottenhamHotspur.com)
“Firstly, I just want to say thank you to the Club for seeing something in me. It’s been a difficult couple of years for me personally on the football field, but I feel I’ve got so much to give, I feel like I’ve got a lot of quality, a lot in the bank”
Hart becomes the second player to join us this summer, following the arrival of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Southampton.

Given his experience and proven pedigree, Hart should be a fine option as far as backup goalkeepers go. His wealth of experience and leadership ought to rub off on the young players in the squad, while he is also more than capable of stepping in should Hugo Lloris pick up an injury.
Fans took to social media to express their views on the signing and here are some of the reactions from the Tottenham supporters.

To be honest all Joe needs is confidence. When he has it hes top keeper. Even When PEP came in Joe played well just Pep hated he had no footwork
