Real Betis receive €12m bid for Tottenham target Loren Moron
According to Spanish publication Mundo Deportivo (h/t Football.london) an unnamed Premier League club has made a €12m bid for Real Betis striker Loren Moron, who is linked with Tottenham Hotspur.
Moron started out at the academy of UD Marbella. He had loan stints away at Union Estepona and Velez CF. He then joined Real Betis on a free transfer in January 2015. The 26-year-old made his first-team debut for the La Liga outfit in 2018. Till date, he has racked up 99 appearances till date, scoring 27 goals. (h/t Transfermarkt)
Moron enjoyed a fairly productive 2019/20 season, as he finished with 12 goals and 3 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions. This has put him on the radars of Tottenham Hotspur. A couple of other Premier League clubs like West Ham United and Sheffield United are also keen. (h/t Football.london)
It is no secret that we are in the market for a new striker this summer. Given the lack of options beyond star striker Harry Kane, a new centre-forward is a must for us, if we are to scale the heights next season. Moron, to that end, would be handy addition to the squad.
And as per the aforementioned report, Real Betis have received an opening bid of €12m for the striker from an unnamed Premier League club. The report further adds that while the 26-year-old has a release clause of €50m, he will be allowed to leave for a significantly lesser transfer fee.
At 26, Moron is entering his peak years and has a few seasons of La Liga football under his belt. He would certainly help our cause, while also being an affordable option.

It, however, remains to be seen as to who made the bid for the Spaniard.
The arrivals of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Joe Hart, and the impending signing of Matt Doherty, has meant a solid start to the transfer window. Hopefully, the club carry on with the momentum in the coming weeks.
