Tottenham ready to sell Tanguy Ndombele
According to the Daily Mail, Tottenham Hotspur are willing to offload Tanguy Ndombele, just a year after signing him in a club record transfer.
The 23-year-old arrived at Tottenham from French Ligue 1 side Olympique Lyon last summer, in a deal worth £54m. After a promising debut, the Frenchman failed to build on it, with injuries plaguing his development at the club.
Once Jose Mourinho took over from Mauricio Pochettino in November 2019, Ndombele hardly featured for us, making sporadic appearances here and there. The Portuguese tactician had been publicly critical of the midfielder on a number of occasions, which led to speculations of a rift between the pair.
It had been claimed that Tottenham had no plans of selling the Frenchman. However, that seems to have changed now, with the club willing to listen to offers for the 23-year-old. (h/t Daily Mail)
The report claims that Mourinho does not believe Ndombele has adapted well enough to the demands of the Premier League. Furthermore, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United boss has concerns over the midfielder’s willingness to learn.
As a result, the club will now consider offers for the French international. Although, it remains to be seen whether any club is willing to pay enough for the midfielder for us to recoup what was spent on him. (h/t Daily Mail)

Ndombele is currently in quarantine in France, after testing positive for the coronavirus. Mourinho will not exclude him from the squad once he returns, but the midfielder will be made available for transfer until the window closes next month. (h/t Daily Mail)
While Ndombele is a talented player, it clearly hasn’t worked out for him at Tottenham. If Mourinho sees no way back for the Frenchman, then we are better off offloading him and using the proceeds to sign our targets.
