Tottenham fans react as Gareth Bale opens door to Premier League return
Speaking to Sky Sports, former Tottenham Hotspur star Gareth Bale has opened up on his current situation at Real Madrid, claiming that he would be open to returning to the Premier League should an opportunity present itself.
The 31-year-old has been frozen out by Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane for a while now. And the Wales international hit out at Real Madrid for blocking his exit last summer. (h/t Sky Sports)
Talking of his immediate future, Bale admitted that he is keen to move on from his situation at Real Madrid currently. However, he insisted that any move would depend on the club. (h/t Sky Sports)
And when quizzed about him being open to returning to Premier League, Bale admitted that he would consider such a move should a chance come in front of him. (h/t Sky Sports)
“Like I said, it’s not really in my hands. It’s one of those situations where if those options arise it is something I would look at, for sure. We’ll see what happens. We have plenty of time left in this transfer window, and I guess a couple of others as well. Time will tell but the decision is in Real Madrid’s hands.”
