Juventus considering swap deal for Tottenham star Tanguy Ndombele
According to Italian outlet Calciomercato (h/t Express), Italian champions Juventus are willing to offer Tottenham Hotspur a choice of three players in a swap deal for Tanguy Ndombele.
The Frenchman became Spurs’ record signing when we forked out £55m for him last summer. Ndombele scored on his debut, but it was as good as it got for him all season.
Spurs boss Jose Mourinho lacks faith in the Frenchman and his future at the club is now in doubt. Juventus could offer him an escape route.
According to the report, Tottenham can have their pick of the three players on offer. This includes wingers Federico Bernardeschi, Douglas Costa, and and former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey.
The three players are no mugs and are on their day excellent footballers. Bernardeschi is a versatile winger who can potentially give Mourinho a number of options in attack.
More so his presence will give us good strength in depth in attack. Costa, too, is a versatile attacker capable of filling a variety of positions. However, his injury record would be a cause of concern.
Meanwhile, Ramsey is a proven prospect in the Premier League, but his history with Arsenal gives it an interesting twist.
While it is true that Ndombele failed to live up to expectations, Spurs will be best served to give him another season before deciding to cut him loose.
At just 23, Ndombele has his best years ahead of him. A powerfully built player, he has all the athleticism and skills required to become a midfield juggernaut.

While the players offered by Juventus look good on paper, one cannot say with certainty that any of them would significantly improve us.
Tottenham should instead hold onto Ndombele and ensure measures are taken to bring out his best. Once he fully gets going, the Frenchman will be a driving force in the Spurs midfield.
