Patson Daka not interested in moving to Tottenham Hotspur this summer
According to Evening Standard journalist Dan Kilpatrick, RB Salzburg striker Patson Daka is not interested in moving to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The player’s agent is none other than former Spurs striker Frederic Kanoute. He has already informed the club that his client is keen to stay put in Austria this season.
Signing Daka would have plugged a massive hole in our squad. It is no secret that Spurs lack cover for star striker Harry Kane. Apart from the England captain, manager Jose Mourinho has no other specialist striker to call on.
#thfc Patson Daka’s agent (Freddie Kanoute!) has told Spurs he wants to stay in Austria. Spurs keen on Milik but fee is likely to be a sticking point. Genoa interested in Rose but nothing agreed and he’s not convinced. @standardsport.

Daka scored 24 goals in 31 league games as Salzburg won the Austrian Bundesliga title for the seventh season in a row in 2019/20. The 21-year-old has come into his own since the sale of Erling Haaland and is now building himself a solid reputation.
He did little to dissuade his admirers as he scored twice against Premier League champions Liverpool in a pre-season friendly last month.
The youngster’s contract with the Austrian giants runs till 2024. According to The Sun, he was believed to be available for a price in excess of £20m. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be something we can make use of this summer.
Primarily a centre-forward, Daka can also do a job out wide. His pace and ability to get in behind defence should fit Jose Mourinho’s counterattacking setup to a tee. Whether we will return for him in the upcoming windows remains to be seen.
A secret weapon?
Our relationship with Kanoute is something we should look to exploit. If Daka keeps up his performance levels, there is no reason why more clubs won’t get interested. By making a beeline through the agent, we could gain an advantage if it comes to a shootout.
