Tottenham prepare bumper contract offer for Arkadiusz Milik
According to Football Insider (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur are readying a bumper contract offer in order to sign Polish international Arkadiusz Milik from Napoli.
Milik has been with Napoli since 2016 and has been an impressive performer for the Serie A outfit. Till date, he has featured 113 times for the club, scoring 47 goals. The 26-year-old featured 34 times across all competitions in the 2019/20 campaign, bagging 14 goals in the process.
In the final year of his contract with the Serie A giants, Milik has been heavily linked with an exit, with Tottenham touted as one of the potential destinations for the striker.
And now, the club is preparing a bumper contract offer in order to land the Poland international. As per the terms being offered, Milik will stand to make £23m over a five-year period. In addition, the club will also offer him a £5m signing-on bonus as well. (h/t Express)
The report further claims that talks between Tottenham and the player’s agents over personal terms are already in advanced stages. However, an agreement with Napoli over a transfer fee is still some way off.
Napoli are demanding up to £30m for the 26-year-old. In case an agreement is not arrived at, Tottenham are prepared to wait till January to sign him on a pre-contract agreement. (h/t Express)

Sunday’s game against Everton showed how thin we are in options when it comes to the centre-forward department. Apart from Harry Kane, Jose Mourinho has nobody else to call upon. The only two attacking options present on the bench this past weekend where Erik Lamela and Steven Bergwijn, neither of whom are naturals in a central role.
Thus, signing a new forward before the window closes is of paramount importance. Hopefully, the club is able to strike an agreement with Napoli at the earliest.
