Real Madrid reject Dele Alli swap proposal in Gareth Bale deal
According to the Express, Real Madrid have rejected the possibility of signing Dele Alli as part of a swap deal that would see Gareth Bale return to Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
Having fallen out of favour at Real Madrid, the 31-year-old is on his way back to Tottenham, the club where he made his name at. However, the ever-reliable Matt Law of The Telegraph claimed on Tuesday that Spurs were looking at the possibility of sending Dele Alli the other way in order to make room for Bale’s wages.
This comes on the back of speculations that Alli has had a falling out with Spurs’ boss Jose Mourinho. The former MK Dons starlet was subbed off at half-time during Spurs’ opening day defeat against Everton this past weekend.
Former England international Gabriel Agbonlahor made the claim that Alli had a disagreement with the Portuguese tactician prior to the Everton game. (h/t Daily Mail)
“I feel like they need a No 10 as well because I’m hearing from a good source that Dele Alli and Mourinho have fallen out. I feel with Dele Alli, something has happened there between them. From what I heard, he wasn’t even meant to start the Everton game.”
However, Real Madrid have turned down any such proposals as they have no intentions of signing the England international. Nevertheless, the deal for Bale to join Tottenham remains on. (h/t Express)

Alli hasn’t had the best of years over the past couple of campaigns. While he did show signs of flourishing early in Mourinho’s tenure, things haven’t really gone according to plans from that point on.
Nevertheless, with Real Madrid rejecting the proposal of using him as a makeweight in the Gareth Bale deal, hopefully, the Englishman is able to rediscover his best this season.
