Tottenham stars train ahead of Europa League game
Tottenham Hotspur will be aiming to go through to the playoff stages of the group stages of the 2020/21 UEFA Europa League qualifiers, when they take on KF Shkendija in North Macedonia.
Jose Mourinho & co. qualified for the third round of the qualifiers, after coming back from behind to beat Lokomotiv Plovdiv 2-1 last week, courtesy a Tanguy Ndombele winner.
A win on Thursday would set up a playoff round contest on the 1st of October. Much like Plovdiv did last time out, Shkendija are likely to make things difficult for the team. And unlike previous seasons, with the qualifiers being single-legged affairs, there is no room for any slip-ups.
Ahead of the game, the players were seen going through their training routines, pictures of which were shared on the club’s Twitter account.
The big news from the images was that Dele Alli is back in the scheme of things, after being omitted for the last two matchday squads. Jose Mourinho claimed he expects the Englishman to stay at the club, amid speculations over his future.
In addition, Japhet Tanganga, who has missed all the matches in the new season with injury, was also seen returning to training, while new signing Sergio Reguilon was also involved. Here are some of the pictures from the training session on Wednesday.
