Inter Milan keen on Tottenham Hotspur star Moussa Sissoko

According to Inside Futbol (h/t Football.london), Inter Milan are keen on Tottenham Hotspur star Moussa Sissoko.

The Italian giants finished second behind Juventus in the Serie-A last season. With the Old Lady currently under new management, it remains to be seen if the Nerazzurri can pip them to a 10th straight Scudetto.

Sissoko is seen as an alternative to N’Golo Kante. Antonio Conte is keen to reunite with Kante, who he signed while at Chelsea.

Signing Sissoko will be the latest transfer deal between the clubs. The Italians secured Christian Eriksen in January and have also been linked with Tanguy Ndombele this summer.

Inter defender Milan Skriniar has been linked with a move to Spurs, although the club is unwilling to pay the asking price of £46million. The Italians were not keen on a Ndombele-Skriniar swap though.

The 31-year-old Sissoko joined Tottenham from Newcastle United in 2016. He has so far made 162 appearances for the club, scoring four goals and 15 assists. (h/t Transfermarkt)

A polarising player, Sissoko has enjoyed an inconsistent spell at Spurs. While he appears aimless at times, the Frenchman can also turn up the style and be a juggernaut in midfield.

He is however not getting any younger and with Ndombele now back in Jose Mourinho’s good books, it remains to be seen if Spurs are willing to sell the midfielder.
