Bournemouth, Swansea and Luton Town keen on Cameron Carter-Vickers
According to the Daily Mail, forgotten Tottenham Hotspur defender Cameron Carter-Vickers is a man in demand in the EFL Championship with three clubs vying for his signature.
Carter-Vickers is a product of the Tottenham youth academy. He made his first-team debut back in 2016 but has featured just four times for the senior team so far. The 22-year-old has had loan spells at Swansea City, Ipswich Town and Sheffield United in the past.
The USMNT defender spent the first half of the 2019/20 campaign on loan at Stoke City. He then joined Luton Town for the second half of the term. Carter-Vickers played an integral role as they managed to stave off the threat of relegation and retain their Championship status for another season.
He ended the last season with a total 31 appearances across all competitions – 15 for Stoke City and 16 for Luton Town, for whom he also grabbed an assist.
While he impressed with the Championship side, the youngster is not part of the plans at Tottenham under Jose Mourinho. He had already been informed to find a new club by the North London outfit. (h/t Herts Live)
And, as per the report from Daily Mail, three clubs from the Championship – Bournemouth, Swansea City and Luton Town are all keen on bringing him in this summer.
Given that the defender isn’t in Mourinho’s plans and in the final year of his contract as well, a permanent transfer makes sense for both the player and the club.

Carter-Vickers might not be the only defender heading out of the club before the window closes. Fellow 22-year-old centre-back Juan Foyth is also expected to join Villarreal on loan.
